Nkan’s parents were killed for bushmeat and he was offered for sale when he was two weeks old. He was confiscated and brought to CWAF, where everyone thought he was going to die. He got 24 hour care for weeks and soon started to grow. He is now a healthy, strong gorilla, the young dominant male in the nursery group in the forest at Mefou.
